As the founder of Spirit YPC, Sophie's infectious ambition for the company and students has SYPC being hailed as one of the UK's top and pioneering theatre schools.

Sophie has spent the years compiling some of the industry's most passionate, knowledgeable and committed teachers and professionals to work as Resident Coaches for members of Team Spirit. Not only have this team proved themselves incredible mentors with fantastic student success rates, but each is also a creative in their own right; inspiring Spirit students to pursue all avenues of performing arts.  Resident Acting Coach 

Terri is a professional children's acting and voice coach who works closely with agencies, directors and casting directors, including leading industry figures such as Jo Hawes and Mark Hedges. Terri works as Spirit's Resident Acting Coach for our elite performers.



 Resident Dance Instructor 

Jac holds a Diploma in Dance Education and Teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector. As well as teaching, Jac is known for her writing, choreography artistic direction. As well as Resident Dance Teacher for our pre-elite performers, Jac is the Founder and Artistic Director of O'Kody Arts.

 Resident Vocal Coach / MD 

A professional musical director, singing teacher and composer whose training includes an MA in Musical Direction from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. A qualified vocal health first aider and highly in-demand vocal coach, Ben is the Resident Singing Teacher for Spirit's pre-elite and elite students.



 Resident MD / Arranger 

A professional composer, arranger and pianist working between New York and London. Fred is dedicated to enfranchising students to be thoughtful, free-thinking, creative young performers. Fred specialises in teaching Acting Through Song and repertoire, and is responsible for some of our most acclaimed arrangements.



 Resident Dance Teacher & Choreographer 

Rhys is one of the industry's up-and-coming choreographers, whose infectious enthusiasm for theatre and teaching has inspired Spirit students of all ages. Rhys is currently performing in West End's &Juliet.



 Resident Acting Coach 

Claire trained at The Hammond School, Bird College and London School of Musical Theatre. Her professional debut was Our House – The Madness Musical in London, and Claire now teaches drama, audition technique and musical theatre for various London institutions, as well as working as a performer and co-host of an MT radio station.
